No response- don't know how to react...?

I'm currently in a LDR, and yesterday had a Tornado warning in my area. Mere moments after getting off the phone with my gf, I sent a text that said "OMG, there's a f---ing tornado touching down right by us"...and got no response....for the rest of the night. 3 hours later (thankfully the tornado funnel dissipated and bad weather cleared), i sent another text saying "yeah, the tornado warning was real...thanks for your concern :(", and still nothing. Today, all I got was a text that said "I just woke up". I'm 99.9% sure my text was received since it was sent less than 5 minutes of us getting off the phone, and even if it (for whatever reason) did not go through, my status on fb says "the tornado did not touch the ground, thank Jesus", so there was no question regarding the turn of events that took place. I just hope I'm over-thinking it, but IDK...was this a lack of regard for me and my children's (did I mention I had kids from a previous relationship? well, i do, lol) safety? Help me out.
