Fighting due to different beliefs in a long distance relationship?

This is not normal LDR fighting...these are intellectual debates. I am having a really hard time understanding what you two had in common in the first place if you are so different. I know there are couples that complete each other but from the way you describe it you two just clash each other. Even when there is nothing in common between 2 ppl, there has to be midground and leeway and you have to talk to him about that. Because if you don't esp. with the LDR it is doubtful if you guys will last in long term.
