My dog shakes at fireworks what can I give her to mellow out 10yrs old not beer?

I think this 4th is going to be louder than usual where I live. She looks like she's going to have a heart attack, freaking out. I'd like to give her a very very mild sedative, would Motrin be ok? I don't want to knock her out and she doesn't smoke or drink.
